Wintec saddles are made by Bates, Australia. The company was founded in 1934 and originally produced synthetic saddles for horse racing. Over the years Wintec's manufacturing has evolved into making a wide range of saddles for all types of riding disciplines. Because Wintec saddles are synthetic, they are easy to care for - you can basically just hose them off. Wintec offers an exchangeable gullet system to accommodate different horses although this approach only addresses fitting the very front of the saddle - not the entire length of the individual horse’s ribcage. This approach does give it some flexibility in using the saddle on different horses but is often considered an incomplete solution to an ideal fit.
