Authentic reproductions of the style of saddles made in the late 1800s and used by legendary American cowboys. A fine hand made collectible saddle the Synergist 1800s Period Saddle is the perfect way to show off your love of America’s Old West and honor it’s rich pioneer history!
The American Cowboy era lasted but a brief period in the second half of the 19th century. 1000 mile long drives to bring cattle to market meant eighteen-hour workdays, sun up to sun down. Since cattle were not moved more than about ten miles a day so they wouldn’t lose weight, cowboys would be on the trail for months. By the 1870′s, millions of cattle were brought to market this way. By the end of the 19th century, the coming of the railroad brought with it the end of an era.
